Happy New Year from The Pride of the Valley kitchen. We have survived another Christmas and New Year Season! I hope all of you who visited us had a wonderful time. During this month we will be running various specials as opposed to the set a la carte menu, mainly due to the fact that the supply of various ingredients is rather patchy for the first half of the month. Having said that, there is a fine selection of Shetland mussels available at the moment and they will be featuring on the menu for the month. A date for the future is Sat 7th March when we will be hosting a Gourmet Dinner Evening with Imbibros Wines, who have recently opened a shop in Farnham. As many of you will know Imbibros are our wine suppiers, and they have promised to find some excellent wines for the evening. The cost for the dinner and your wine will be around £65 per head. Please do not forget that the hotel is an ideal venue for all your family celebrations, and we are now taking bookings for the forthcoming year. I will be on hand to help you with any menu choices that you may want should you need me! Our maximum numbers are around 70 for a sit down event in the Restaurant, but we can go larger if we use the Bar area and marquee in the garden. Don't forget Valentine's Day this year - it actually falls on a Saturday and I have planned a superb menu for the evening. See you next month. David Terrell. |
